Notable Advisory Engagements

At the time of its founding, DGA was focused on providing E&P advisory services via DGA Services to corporate and governmental entities with a need to evaluate the potential of specific areas. Such advisory assignments have not only validated the organization’s expertise on an international basis, but these engagements have also enabled DGA to begin establishing a credible position in the energy transaction marketplace at the intersection of investors, operators, and mineral rights owners. Notable E&P advisory engagements include:

Dynamic Global Advisors Projects

  • Completed a regional study and a follow-up exploration lead identification and characterization study for the Trinidad and Tobago Ministry of Energy to understand its deepwater potential. Results are the framework for the 2010 licensing round to be announced by the Ministry.
  • Completed a regional study for the Ministries of Energy of Kenya, Tanzania, and Madagascar to understand their offshore potential.
  • Study of all offshore Indian basins identified several high potential opportunities for the NELP VII licensing round in India. Seven blocks were awarded to a DEPCO consortium (BHP as operator).
  • Estimated resources of and assisted in building a field development plan for a large gas discovery in offshore India for the Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation, a state-owned Indian energy company.
  • Completed two training classes for technical staff and a reserves estimate/geologic model of an onshore field for the Directorate General of Hydrocarbons, India.
  • Processed 2D-seismic data and interpreted a 2,900 km2 block in offshore east India to select the location and objectives for a 4Q 2009 exploration well for Russian-supermajor Gazprom.
  • Evaluated the potential resources of the Shaikan No. 1 discovery in Kurdistan, Iraq for Gulf Keystone Petroleum Ltd..
  • Assisted on an assessment and ranking of the Ecopetrol S.A.’s global exploration portfolio.

In addition, DGA Services has screened more than 30 opportunities for Korean, Indian, and Chinese investors and evaluated 10 of these opportunities of which two are in the process of being funded.

‘DGA analyzed our work procedures to develop appropriate, technologically advanced, and cost-effective workflows. DGA incorporated the best practices from their extensive and global experience in basins worldwide to provide a customized solution built within the framework and system of our organization. Their ability to deliver innovatively in energy exploration and production gives a new view to the Indian E&P scenario.’
